8Y is a sintering powder of 8% yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ). The product contains a small amount of monoclinic zirconia with different particle size distribution, bulk density and chemical properties. The purity of ZP103-8Y is high. The material after sintering and the spherical particle shape of particle size distribution jointly determine that the material has reliable fluidity and structural stability. ZP103-8Y sintered powder is especially suitable for TBCs which need to increase porosity.
Typical application: it is usually used as thermal spray coating for thermal protection of metal diesel and gasoline engine components used below 900 ℃, as cylinder head, piston crown, exhaust valve and intake valve, turbocharger. It also includes industrial gas turbine engine parts or aviation gas turbine engine parts (such as combustion chamber liner, transition piece, combustion chamber, heat shield, turbine wing), and insulation layer of thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) used below 900 ℃. Combined with anti-oxidation adhesive, it can be used as intermediate coating between anti-oxidation adhesive layer and low-k TBCs system.
